had a great & unique experience. its filled with italian charm. the swimming pool got filled up quickly, but it was still beautiful and enjoyable. Don't expect a 5 star resort kinda amenities, its an old castle that's maintained well. Special credits to the reception & the people at the restaurant. They were super accommodating & responded well to our rather unique requests (being able to have takeaway from the restaurant when we didnt have reservation, providing us with condiments, utensils etc). it was a very relaxing weekend!

Vilket fantastiskt ställe ! Så otroligt vacker omgivning. Lugnt och fridfullt. Vacker trädgård att strosa runt i och fin pool att kunna svalka sig i. Vi kommer mer än gärna tillbaka och hade önskat att vi stannat längre än två nätter .

Il posto è fantastico, si trova in un luogo tranquillo e pastorale, molto, molto bello, l'appartamento in sé è un po' datato

The castle grounds were beautiful and our kids really enjoyed the pool and table tennis table. The location is fantastic - a great base to explore Florence (only 20 min away) or the Tuscan towns. Our only complaint was that the villa was very basic and would benefit from some maintenance / upgrades. The bedrooms had air conditioning units, but they were really loud and did not work particularly well...making it difficult to sleep. Also, the showerhead in the bathroom did not work well and needs to be replaced. It also would have been nice to have some essential basic items in the unit (toilet paper, paper towels, core spices, etc.) and a coffee maker for visitors traveling internationally. A few minor adjustments would go a long way to maximize the unique experience of staying in Montegufoni.

We had really a wonderful stay. Beautiful castle in a lovely surrounding. Room was spacy and clean. Restaurant in the castle is absolutely recommendable. Perfect spot to explore Florence and Siena…

Such a beautiful location. It was peaceful. Exploring the castle was very interesting and fun. The food is so delicious. Definitely will return to the castle again and I wish we had longer. Our apartment was very cute, we enjoyed cooking and eating together. The only thing I would say is that it’s important to hire a car. This was recommended by the staff and hiring a car was a good decision.

Exceptional!! Exceed our expectations and we loved every minute of our 4 nights in the castle! We loved our villa, very specious, well equipped, had a nice outdoor area for just us. Laundry machine close by with drying racks ready to use. The front desk manager was delightful and so welcoming! Restaurant on-site was fantastic, we had 2 nights there and loved both meals and the staff were so friendly and fun! My 8 year old loved her time at the resort, especially the pool! The pool was gorgeous and you just can’t beat the amazing gardens/scenery. We took a few day trips off property and it was a great location to get back to Florence (35 mins), and explore Tuscany towns! We truly loved our stay and we can’t wait to get back!

The view is amazing. The experience of staying right next to the castle or in the castle is for sure worth it and should be on anyone’s bucket list. For me it felt like a fairytale. The food at the restaurant is absolutely amazing.

Possibilità di visitare tanti bei paesi e fare piacevoli passeggiate. Firenze a pochi km. Non so cosa si possa volere di più. Tornerò senz'altro.

The area was great, the views spectacular. We came without a car and unless you are able to cycle or rent a scooter it is difficult to travel around. Can get a taxi but nearest taxis come from far so will cost a bit. We walked to nearest village to get supplies, but did end up eating almost every night at the restaurant, which was fantastic food. You need to supply the trip yourself but lots of help from the staff.

Wow what a romantic place to stay and visit. Our accommodation was 2 mins walk from the stunning palace / castle, with beautiful gardens and a wonderful pool. Worth booking the palace restaurant for dinner, the setting on the terrace is like nothing else and the food and service is top class. I would definitely recommend and will hopefully return.

I stayed with my family at one of the houses. Two bedrooms and two baths. We went in the summer and the AC in the rooms works great. No AC at the living room. All liens and towels provided. Parking is free. You must have a car to stay there. Pool was great to cool off at the end of the day. The only thing to improve are the utensils. They offer the very basic. Things lake a toaster and cutting board are simple improvement opportunities. Internet is OK, not great. We had no issues during our stay.

We were so pleased with our stay. Unmatchable views, service, and area! Will forever dream about this castle!!

Very cute place, as described and a unique way to experience Tuscany. We enjoyed the premises, the pool, the view, dinner at the domestic restaurant and vicinity to Firenze. Latest there you will have to face masses of tourists so this castle is a great calm hub to explore the region from. Two nearby villages offer shops, bakery, pharmacy for the basics. To have a car sure is recommendable. We thoroughly enjoyed and recommend this accommodation.

My family and I definitely enjoyed our stay at the Posarelli Villa. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the location was wonderful.

Castello immerso nel Chianti. Ottima posizione per girare le città e i castelli del territorio. Abbiamo utilizzato la piscina per rilassarci al rientro delle gite.

Beautiful property. Quiet, quaint, convenient. We didn't eat at the restaurant as we were given recommendations at other establishments as a more authentic, local experience.
+/- 40-minute drive to Florence. We drove to a tram station and parked the car and took the tram into the city to avoid parking/traffic in historic Florence.
We did have a few issues that are of note:
The front desk is only attended until 17:00 (5pm), so when we returned our first evening from a day in Florence to a broken A/C unit, the room was almost unbearable and the on-site maintenance man could do nothing. We slept in the heat and terrible bugs/mosquitos with no recourse but 2 small fans. Not great. And A/C costs extra.
You need to "reserve" the one washing machine that is on site. No dryer. The listing wasn't clear about that.
They do not have bikes onsite, they have a phone number for a bike company that can rent them to you (with a day's notice).
It was clean, comfortable. I'd go back, but I would plan differently if the description was a bit more clear.

What a beautiful place to kick back and enjoy Italy! Everyone was so nice and helpful and couldn't have asked for a better location.

Very nice place. Our apartment was well maintained. Many mosquitos however but this would probably have been the case everywhere else in Tuscany.

Room was comfortable and lots of space. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was great.

We stayed at Montegufoni 4 for 5 nights in July and used it as a base to see all of Tuscany. I would say that it was an excellent location close to most of th cities we stayed. We went to Siena, San G., Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Montelpulciano. The location was great to visit all those locales. The people at the castle were friendly and very helpful and the restaurant on site served up great food with a great view. There was even a great restaurant at a small town less than 1.5 km walk from the castle. The rooms were big and comfortable too.

The only main complaint that I had is they make too much noise picking up the garbage too early in the morning and the pool was super chlorinated. (great pool but bring gogles for the kids)

As you can see all and all a great place, good value for the money and I would recomend this location to anyone.

We were pleasantly suprised by Montegufoni 4 and had the BEST time there. Its close proximity to town for supplies and the peace and quiet were great. The restaurant was superb. The Montegufoni red wine is EXCELLENT!!! We even asked if we could get some shipped back to Australia.The staff were more than helpful and we would return there any time at all. Rated 10/10

Propriété irréprochable par contre il est nécessaire d’apporter une attention particulière à l’équipement en vaisselle qui est un peu succinct, il faudrait vérifier le nombre d’éléments avant le début du séjour, (tasses, verres, couverts, et ustensiles de cuisines souvent insuffisants) .

We were two middle-age couples that shared a two bedroom-two bath apartment. and we were delighted with the accomodation and hospitality. The reception people spoke english and were very helpful. It is a great location close to Florence, Siena, and Chianti area. Plenty to see around this location. We had a car and loved the countryside. We would definitely go back when we have the opportunity. Price is reasonable and fair.
