Beautiful estate! The castle and the secret garden with the pool were impressive. It is a big plus that it also has a restaurant which is open in the evenings.

Beautiful castle at the top of the hill, everything is very nice. Although it is summer, it is very cool with air conditioning. It is very convenient to go to Pisa, Florence or Siena.

What a beautiful location. It was truly like staying in an old castle. Lots of exploring to do around the grounds and a great pool area. The restaurant was delicious and the location to Florence was perfect for a day trip!

We greatly enjoyed our stay here at Montegufoni Castle. It was beautiful, relaxing (exactly why we chose it), and a peaceful space. We loved learning about the history, exploring the grounds, and our apartment was cozy and extremely clean upon arrival. The staff were helpful and friendly, and we ended up making a few friends at dinner as well! We got what we expected, and we would recommend it to anyone on their way to Italy in the future!

Really unique experience. Narrow spaces to walk sometimes and overall charming. Can be a little spooky at night as well :)

My wife & I had the most wonderful stay at montegufoni. The castle is magnificent, the staff are super friendly & extremely helpful. Our room was pristine & we wish we could’ve stayed longer! Our only recommendation is that you 100% need to pre organise a car as there is next to no public transport around the area. So we did a lot of walking! Lots of wineries and beautiful landscapes around the area to experience & admire. Couldn’t recommend this stay more! :)

Staying at Montegufoni had us feeling like royalty for a short while. The modern adaptations made to the castle provide much comfort to its guests. Contrary to some previous comments we were not faced with additional fees outside of the tourist tax (which was expect and clearly written out). The restaurant and its service provides a personalized touch to each individual table, seating was set with guests in mind. The food was simply remarkable, ourselves we had the melon and prosciutto, seasonal vegetable soup, wild boar and lasagna; we our still talking about this being one of the best meals during our time in Italy.

Exactly what you want in a Tuscany Castle accommodation; striking architecture, peaceful surroundings, pool, well manicured grounds, and tasteful cuisine from on site restaurant. Keep in mind, restaurant does not open until 7:30 PM and bar has limited timing; however, there is a market nearby with all you could ask for. Receptionist Valentina was extremely pleasant personality and always avail for assistance to help make our stay optimal.

Unique place and history, the air was clean and cool although elsewhere it was +30C. The common areas and La Torre weren’t overly decorated.

Amazing! The views are spectacular. You'll really feel like you are in an old medieval castle. While we were there, there weren't many guests. I am not sure why, as it was the peak time for travel, but either way, it was probably for the best because the isolation may be experienced all the better. The views are spectacular. You really can't get any better than this. There are plenty of areas around the property to sit and have a glass of wine. The pool was very clean. The room was clean and organized, and everything felt very private and authentic. It's a quality experience, to be sure. However, we did have to throw away our own trash as per the rules of the state. They will not be pampering you in this place (no room service or anything like that), and you can't even buy a bottle of wine on the premises after the restaurant closes. While on that note, I have to say the restaurant was absolutely stunning; however, it was not the best. Actually far from it. I frankly disliked it quite a bit. This does not take away from the five stars I will give this experience. However, I wish that the food at the restaurant was better. The staff was Wonderfull, but the food was heavily lacking. My recommendation would be to have a couple of cocktails at the restaurant during sunset and then have someone drive you down to the town where you can go to another restaurant. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this place.

The apartment was panoramic, spacious and very clean. A perfect base to explore the surrounding area. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommended!

Great location in a wonderful part of Italy. Easy to reach Florence and Siena by car. Good market and restaurant in Montespertoli.

a wonderful destination and stay had in the Castle. In total there were 11 in the family who stayed in 4 different rooms (all which were terrific), and all agreed what a super time had been had by all.
The views, weather, swimming pool, locality, gardens and history of the place was just amazing, the restaurant was also excellent.
A total score of 10 / 10 was agreed by all for the trip and we will defintely return in the very near future.
