Villa Fiamma

A beautifully restored villa with large, light, spacious rooms authentically furnished, a very pretty balcony at the front, a pool and lawned garden area.
Very quiet location close to multiple gorgeous old villas many of which are open to the public. Easy drive to Lucca and the motorway network. The hills and villages above the villa are beautiful, with lovely views, old churches and hardly any tourists (although the hairpin bends on the climbs can be a bit scary) 2 small negatives: there was only one fob available for opening the gate from the villa onto the road (a problem for larger parties not wishing to spend all their time together); the lighting in the kitchen was poor making it tricky to prepare evening meals. Both issues should be easy to resolve.

Nice city villa near Lucca. Comfortable bed- and bathrooms; nice outside terrace. Could use a good dining table and chairs to sit outside as a group. Kitchen old (monument), with good supplies of crockery etc. Pool was nice, missed pool lights and/or a lighted path to that area.

Wonderful quiet , secluded setting, far from madding crowd yet having local restaurants, shops, cafes and historical Villas within easy walking distance. In a semi rural setting but not far by car to Lucca and onwards by train/bus or car. One thing to beware of, if looking to use public transport, although there are many bus stops indicated on line (and in the flesh!), local buses are so infrequent as to be of no use to visitors. Taxis and airport pick ups can, however, be booked on line .
The villa itself was in period. If you are happy to immerse yourself in days gone by, it is perfect. If you are looking for minimalist, plain white with sharp modern lines and Ikea type furniture, this not for you. We were all very happy to live the life and get a flavour of yesteryear, as was befitting the grand villa. All rooms were spacious and bedrooms private. Views were lovely and the sun could be had most of the day, but with shade available from shutters and, on terrace, parasols. Can understand previous points on the size of the kitchen but only if 10 people were trying to cook and eat there at once, which is not really how the villa is designed. ie The kitchen is well equipped for a limited number cooking at once and there are numerous very large areas for all to eat together including a massive dining room. The balcony was huge with plenty seating, tables could be less weathered but it did not spoil anything. The gardens and swimming pool must be a huge plus for those who like to exercise and cool off. Having small children and toddlers included over the rental period. we found the amount of safe, grassy, flat ground to be a great asset. There were plenty areas where shade was provided by either trees or parasols. Pool was very clean, and perfect for babies, coolers off and triathletes!

We visited 14 years ago and while the bedroom/bathroom improvements are good the kitchen is now too small to cater for 10 people.

It is a lovely villa in a great location if you can deal with this. However a number of inadequacies:

Not enough sunbeds for everyone.
Light over hob not working.
One air conditioning unit very noisy.
No tea towels - I think it’s unreasonable to expect guests to bring them

It represents some of the best of Tuscany, it’s an older property with character yet offering all the modern facilities

The villa itself is very impressive and should be the perfect base for visiting Tuscany. However it does feel very dated and in need of sensitive updating. The kitchen area is well appointed but very small and so dark it is hard to use when not in the middle of the day. Also there are not enough standard plug sockets, with some bedrooms having none at all. The wifi is also incredibly slow and useless for anything other than basic website browsing (slowly). The place needs a coat of paint and some new furniture to make it feel on the inside how it looks on the outside.

Pros first: large, great pool in a lovely green, private garden. As a group of 7 - 4 adults and 3 kids - it was large enough for us to play in for many hours. The internal main dining room and lounge areas have beautiful ceiling decorations. The bedrooms are a good size and 4/5 have en suite. It feels ‘grand’ and is a old summer residence. It is a good location for visiting Lucca, Cinque Terre and Florence. A nice cooling breeze is welcome at the end of the day. Good selection of cooking utensils too which is always appreciated in a rental. The people looking after the home take care of the refuse rules and were responsive to issues we had - dishwasher not working and issues with the Wi-Fi.
Cons: it is advertised as being luxury - outdoor furniture on the terrace is tired and old as is much of the internal furniture. Not a place you want to spend time which is a real shame. No mains lights - only side lights in most of the house making it hard when coming home. Felt uncared for.

We've had the best vacation of our lives! It was beautiful! We were 3 families, a total of 8 persons, and there were plenty of room for all of us.
Fantastic garden with a big pool. The only negative were the AC in two of the rooms, they didn't work, but as soon as we let the caretaker know about the problem, he sent a company the next day, to fix them. We can highly reccomend this house. Birgitte, Norway 2023

We had a lovely relaxed week with ten in the villa with 3 family groups - our teen family members loved the en-suite rooms and bright airy bedrooms with air con. All was as described and all linen, floors and surfaces very clean and well maintained. The pool and water is spotlessly clean and maintained regularly during the week, as is the gardening. The house has character due to its age and we loved the old fashioned shutters which kept downstairs cool. It is well equipped and the huge dining table is amazing for enjoying family meals.

The village ice cream parlour and bakery are a 20 minute walk and worth a visit.

The host contact and maintenance manager are super helpful and easy to contact with any questions and will drop in to take the bins out or resolve questions quickly and easily.

The house has a brochure which recommended some fabulous ice cream parlours, restaurants and supermarkets and trips out. We also went to Vinci near Lucca which we loved - gorgeous town and birthplace of Leonardo di Vinci.

Tip: if you rent a car and use it to go into Pisa or Florence or Lucca - research the vehicle free zones. There are big fines if you take a car into the wrong area - it’s best to park outside Lucca in the parcheggio gratuit (free parking) or in the blue parking bays which are a bit nearer the city walls but which cost a few Euros. For Florence/Pisa I would say park and walk in or better take a train or bus in from just outside the city.

We loved Lucca so much we returned several times and had a really great week. Thank you very much for a great and relaxing week by the pool!

Super maison, grande, bien équipé. Mais le jardin n'est pas entretenu, herbe non tondu ! Pas normal pour le prix .....

Great historical villa with ample room and facilities.

The Villa Fiamma was a dream come true. It is a splendid property and our family felt privileged to reside there for two weeks. The ambiance alone is superb and well worth the price.

Very enjoyable stay. Carla was an amazing cook! I would recommend that they check the air conditioning units, which are noisy, especially when you sleep.

Beautiful and original villa on an expansive property with good security. The swimming pool was very clean each day. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking.

Un très bon séjour dans une très belle villa avec un bel espace tant intérieur qu'extérieur. Nous étions deux familles de 4 et de 6 personnes et nous avons passé de très belles vacances. Proche des grands lieux touristiques, tous les membres des deux familles ont pu satisfaire leurs goûts : les plaisirs de la piscine, les plaisirs culturels de Florence, Pise, Sienne ou Lucques et les plaisirs de la plage...

Das Haus liegt sehr schön und ruhig. Der Pool ist sehr schön und sauber und die Kommunikation mit der Agentur sehr gut. Leider gibt es auf dem Balkon keine geeignete Möglichkeiten zu essen, da die Tische sehr klein und hoch sind. Außerdem gab es nur einen Sonnenschirm, so dass der Balkon nur teilweise beschattet war. Es gibt eine Möglichkeit auf der anderen Seite im Freien zu essen, aber auch dort fehlte die Beschattung

very comfortable.we were 10 in total, perfect size.
two problems fro us we are 80 and 86 yrs old no bathroom downstairs.younger generations no problem.
Kitchen for those wishing to cook to-gether,was too small.
Caretaker on property delightful and helpful.
pool was great and well cared for.
Terrace beautiful, could do with a good spray wash, but if you like rustic then its OK.

vår GPS fant ikke adressen til Villa Fiamma, og ved forespørsel hos lokalbefolkningen, var villaen ukjent.
Telefon til Posarellivillas, England ga oss god hjelp. En trivelig ansatt tok kontakt med vaktmesteren som kom raskt til stede. Han ledet oss til huset, ventet og ledet oss til en butikk så vi fikk handlet mat, ventet og ledet oss tilbake. Han var svært trivelig og hjelpsom.
Anbefaler at en skisse blir lagt ved informasjonen om huset.
Vi ble svært imponert av huset og uteområdene. Noen skjønnhetsfeil var det , slik som at setene på toalettene var løse og trekkene på utemøblene svært flekkete, men det var bagateller. Bassenget var prikken over i-en, likeså trivdes vi svært godt på terrassen og verandaen Vi hadde et fantastisk vær og var primært ute.

Villa Fiamma se trouve dans un jardin bien entretenu. La maison est confortable, bien aménagée et il y a beaucoup d'espace pour tout le monde. La piscine et l'entourage était un délice et impeccablement propre. Il y avait dix adultes dans notre groupe et nous y avons passé une semaine très agréable. Nous vous recommandons de faire du vélo autour des remparts de Lucca, nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir combiné avec un excellent aperçu de la ville. Nous recommanderions certainement cette propriété à des amis ou à la famille.

A lovely place for a Tuscan vacation, the rooms are clean and well maintained, the kitchen well equipped and bathrooms are clean. We rented the villa in mid September and got very lucky with the weather so we were able to spend most of our time outside. The property is a great base for exploring Florence, Pisa and Lucca. We’ll come back soon!

We highly recommend Villa Fiamma, it’s a great location for exploring the Tuscan seaside and the Cinque Terre area, with Lucca just 10 km away. Very clean property with a nice and quiet environment. The rooms are large and well furnished, with comfortable beds in each room. The pool was clean and a good size. Everything was perfect.

This was our third time in Tuscany, this time we wanted to explore the area near Lucca. We knew of the beautiful, majestic villas that are special to this part of Tuscany, and we found Villa Fiamma which perfectly fit our needs and budget. The living area is magnificent, there are frescoes on the ceiling and beautiful floors with shiny antique tiles. The garden outside is well tended and the pool area is great for relaxing after a day out exploring.

Une réunion de famille célébrant ma retraite. Cette villa était parfaite! C'était propre, bien équipé et géré par des professionnels dès la réservation initiale pour vérifier. Les images sur le site sont une représentation fidèle du caractère et du charme de la villa. C'est une villa très confortable pour un grand groupe. Je n'hésiterais pas à recommander cette villa à tous ceux qui cherchent à s'éloigner de l'agitation des grandes villes et à vivre le rêve toscan. Chacun d'entre nous a adoré!
