The place was truly amazing. If you are looking for a unique piece of history that has breathtaking views and a wow factor of staying in a 14th century castle then this is your place. I would not put it in the category of “luxurious” but it is very nice. The pool is nice, the restaurant is nice (the Asian/italian fusion place down the hill is amazing).

Usamos o Castelo de Montegufoni para visitar toda parte do Chianti. Super funcionou para nossa família, já que a viagem mais longa foi de apenas 50 minutos. O apartamento é lindo demais e a experiência de ficar em um castelo é inesquecível. A única ressalva que faço é sobre acessibilidade: o castelo tem algumas entradas com escadas e o apartamento conta com um escada bem íngreme. De resto, é uma linda experiência.

It's a real old House, but that is the charm of it. The atmosphere and the garden and Terrace is something special.

Todo fantástico 10/10!! Hemos tenido unas vacaciones de ensueño! Solo me gustaría destacar como algo negativo el Restaurante del castillo: Me parece increíble que en un sitio tan maravilloso no tengan una mejor cocina. La peor pasta que hemos probado en toda la Toscana y un trato muy lejos del que han demostrado el resto de trabajadores del castillo. Poner música pop de la radio con un volumen muy alto con un altavoz portátil, en una sala que no es muy grande no es nada agradable y no concuerda con el ambiente que se respira en Montegufoni. Lo considero un apartado aparte y por eso no bajo la calificación. El castillo como estancia es maravilloso!!

Our place was great, we had a beautiful stay. The place was gorgeous and clean. It’s a old castle but with very beautiful grounds. We were a family group of nine. The stairs were quite steep and hard to get to the forth floor but worth it. Beautiful views of the Tuscan hills.

Beautiful old castle! We enjoyed 4 lovely days there! If I could suggest having a machine for snacks/drinks as there is nothing available for breakfast or lunch and if you don’t have a car, town is a good walk down the hill then back up with groceries.
The dinner restaurant is wonderful!

Beautiful place, nice views and clean. Kitchen poorly equipped. Service excellent, fast and friendly.

Our family of 8 stayed in la Galleria. It was the most perfect and magical location imaginable. It will stay in our hearts and minds for a very long time.

Beautiful location in Tuscany and short drive to Florence. Unfortunately due to the heat wave at the time of our visit it was challenging.

The place was absolutely amazing, very nice area and beautiful old castle.
Our huge apartment was quite unique especially the living room (galleria) was very beautiful. nice rooms with beautiful views and good bathrooms everything in romantic / rustic style. Nice terrasse.
However, some of the furniture was some worn and especially the kitchen and accessories there needed an update (Nice to know that there is no oven and the coffee maker was missing the jug). However, the staff were incredibly sweet to help and very welcoming.
The restaurant was fine too - very nice people there, but the barbeque night was a little sad with the food accessories.
The pool area and garden were very beautiful and relaxing.
Is nicely located (by car) compared to the exciting sights of Firentze, Livorno, Pisa, wine tasting, San giminone etc.
Would highly recommend it, but you should not expect a modern hotel but an atmospheric beautiful old castle you never forget.

WOW, WOW, WOW! You will pinch yourself when you walk into this room since it's so spectacular. It feels like a dream! Absolutely such a special place to stay and stunning accommodations! Didn't want to leave!!!

We (our family of five) had a very relaxing stay. We had a car to explore area: there are so many beautiful spots to explore. The huge living room with frescoed ceilings was fantastic and the Italian garden just outside was amazing. Our kids absolutely loved the use of the pool. Many thanks to Possarelli family for their ospitality.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Montegufoni. Stefania was really kind and we appreciated her hospitality. Very good dinners at Il Ristorantino. We stayed in the apartment Galleria for a week and it was a beautiful experience. During our stay we booked a wine tasting and we visited the Uffizi + Accademia. We highly recommend this place.

Fantastic setting, appartment is magnificient and out of this world (La Galleria).We will come back.

Наша семья провела незабываемые 3 недели в замке Монтегуфони(Галерея).Галерея это огромные апартаменты с восхитительными видами на холмы Тосканы. Безупречная чистота и обслуживание.Близость ко всем достопримечательностям Тосканы,делают замок необыкновенно привлекательным.Удивительный комфорт и уют в спальнях на верхних этажах и бесподобная галерея с потрясающими фресками на первом.Теплый чистый бассейн ,окруженный живой изгородью,круглосуточный wi-fi на рецепшен,хороший ресторан,близость автобусной остановки(50 метров от замка)все это создает ощущение комфортного прибывания. Монтегуфони это настоящая итальянская сказка.

The Galleria appartment is huge, there is really no way to prepare yourself for the size of the living room/ball room. It occupies an entire wing of the castle. The team on site were very nice and accommodating. The castle is old and needs some more TLC . You can really tell the building is very very old. However the facilities are nice. Getting in there the only thing missing was the butler.... With an apartment this big you need one. The living room is 24 meters from one end to the other. Add 10-11m more before you hit the front door. No AC - but fans do the trick to keep you cool at night.
